At just 15, Elizabeth Kackert took a leap of faith and bought Tizzy, a raw, off the track thouroughbred (OTTB) untrained 3-year-old stallion. While many of her peers rode polished, well-trained horses, Elizabeth saw potential in Tizzy, not just as a competitor, but as a partner. Despite his fiery spirit and rebellious behavior, she was determined to train him, knowing it would take patience, understanding, and an unbreakable bond between them.

Years of hard work followed, with Elizabeth spending countless hours at the barn, working on groundwork, grooming, and building trust. Tizzy tested her at every turn—sometimes refusing to cooperate or throwing temper tantrums—but Elizabeth never gave up. Slowly, they progressed together, with Tizzy growing into a talented jumper who had a deep desire to please. By the time Lizzy turned 19, Tizzy was no longer the wild stallion he once was, and their connection became undeniable, forged through the struggles and triumphs of their training journey.
